Magnificat: Convent Coming - reason to rejoice!

Dear Friends and Benefactors,
We are now, more than ever, able to exclaim with Our Lady, “Magnificat!” Having waited for over a decade, a convent of religious sisters will now be established in our area. Our souls magnify the Lord that in this small hamlet of Warners, NY we now possess the treasures of five (5) priests, two (2) brothers and now (as of August 2026) four (4) religious sisters. May God be glorified!
With all the graces and blessings comes the cross! That was the life of Our Lord; that will be our life. We are prepared to bear the trials as we accept the fruits! Deus vult!
That said, I reach out to you generous benefactors for your prayers. Many souls have supported the apostolate and still do today. We hope that the increase of religious in the area will also help augments the support - as those in the vow poverty must be sustained!
Some benefactors have purchased a two (2) acre property across the street from a portion of our own current property. This newly acquired land was the site of the original Catholic Church in Warners -built in 1913 AD. It closed in 2008 and has since been privately owned. We are now the proud owners of the treasure of faith from the past. We will continue the tradition!
This property has three (3) buildings. One will be the convent, one will be a house for female staff members, and one will be a future bookstore (currently it is leased as a Montessori school!). The sisters could walk out of their front door and be at the soon to be completed church building in three (3) minutes and the school in five (5) minutes! It is a great temporary residence before we are able to build a convent on our 46-acre property.
We are looking for the mission chapels and benefactors to consider contributing to the comment cause! We have the property, yet it is not a convent! Therefore we will need to renovate the buildings for an approximate cost of $30,000-50,000 and then shoulder the monthly expenses. An annual, monthly, or one-time donation would be greatly appreciated. As the sisters will not stay hidden in our community but travel to the mission chapels and beyond, we hope that all the parishioners of the northeast can promote and provide for the saintly souls who are eight (8) hours north of their sisters in Virginia and eighteen (18) hours east of their sisters in Kansas. This new foundation will be the fifth in the USA; We are very grateful to receive such a grace!
Stay connected with the priory events that may occur with the sisters. Be involved with the apostolate so that the ladies can be offered a first-hand experience with the souls consecrated to God - something we see less today than in days gone by. Let us change the culture by allowing the next generation to work hand-in-hand with the spouses of Christ.
Our priory bulletin and website will contain the information you may need to donate, schedule visit, or see the events that will take place. Please stay in contact and pray that many souls may be impressed and lead to God by means of these additions to the community. God uses instruments of all kinds. The priests and brothers have set the tone. Now the sisters will carry the tune!
Thank you for your consideration and support. You are welcome to join us in thanksgiving to St. Philomena for all her help but especially for securing a convent for us. We will prepare for her feast on August 11th by a novena - August 2-10. You are all welcome to celebrate her feast in Warners. Gathered together in prayer under the patronage of a saint is one of the greatest ways in which you can honor them.
We should host the founding sisters and two of their superiors for our annual picnic. Please feel free to join us for this celebration on Sunday, August 23rd. The events will be on our Warners’ property following the 10:30am Mass and ending with Vespers at 5:00pm.
May God grant us all the strength to persevere in the fight for the truth by means of the faith. These resident sisters will aid us in this by their prayerful example. Let us pray for them as they pray for us!
