A Celebration in Fanjeaux: Sr. Angela Marie Makes Final Vows
August 4, the feast of St. Dominic, was a day of particular joy for the Roberts family as Sr. Angela Marie (Angela Marie Roberts) made her final profession of vows, formally giving herself to Christ as a Dominican Sister.
The profession took place in Fanjeaux, France, a place deeply connected with the origins of the Dominican Order and the preaching ministry of St. Dominic. On the feast of the Order’s founder, Sr. Angela Marie’s profession marked a significant moment in her religious vocation as she made her final vows and entered fully into the life and mission of the Dominican Sisters of the Holy Name of Jesus.
The occasion was made all the more memorable by another milestone within the same family. Sr. Hyacinth Marie (Annette Hoffman), Sr. Angela Marie’s aunt, celebrated the 25th anniversary of her own final profession of vows. Thus, the day brought together two family members at significant moments in their religious vocations: one celebrating twenty-five years of religious profession and the other beginning a new chapter of lifelong consecration.
Following her profession, Sr. Angela Marie will begin a new assignment in Post Falls, Idaho, where she will continue her vocation and ministry.
From all of us here at the Warners Chronicle, we wish Sr. Angela Marie a joyful and fruitful beginning to this new chapter of her Dominican vocation, and we offer our heartfelt congratulations to both her and Sr. Hyacinth Marie on these two beautiful milestones. May God bless them both as they continue to serve Him and His Church in the spirit of St. Dominic.
